What is the best surf spot in Huntington Beach (Cali) for a beginner?

Huntington is not the best surf spot for begginners. but if i were you i would try the cliffs at high tide. make sure you stay out of other peoples way! kook!

Seriously though, Huntington Beach is a bad bad place for a barney.

Check with Surfline or a local surf school and find something in another city or county.
There are plenty of good beach breaks for beginners. Go to Bolsa Chica State Beach. Stay well north of the new inlet, and away from Corky Carrol Surf School, and you won't have a problem with crowds. You can also surf south of Beach Blvd but the waves aren't shaped real well for beginners plus parking might be a problem.
