Warbrobe tips for a new surfer?

Ok- I have never surfed before and I'm going to be attending a surf school in NC this July. I have a large chest and I'm afraid that I might have a 'wardrobe malfunction' in a bikini- but I also do not want to wear a one piece. I see alot of chicks wearing bikini bottoms with rash guards or wet suit tops- can anyone suggest a good brand or style that is affordable? Also- because its July in the south- should I take into consideration how thick the top is? If its too thick will I get overheated?

Wear a rash shirt and a pair of board shorts. thats what most of my chick friends wear when we are out. You can get rash shirts made of wetsuit material, they are a bit more supportive with larger girls but you could always wear a sports bra under it.

Boardies are always safe, as they usually have draw strings and dont fall off, as well as you can use them as shorts if you nip to the shops to get a feed.

Be comfortable, it isn't about looks, its about surfing and enjoying the experiance

Surfing with a rashguard is the way to go in the summer. It keeps you from getting sunburned, plus you won't get a rash on your stomach from the wax. Your surf school will usually supply rashguards, at least they do at Kitty Hawk Surf and Kayak. If not you should be able to get a decent one for around $20-$25. Don't get a heavy high UV one unless you need it.
You can add a good sports bra underneath the rashie to keep yourself more comfortable. All major wetsuit manufacturers make a "jacket" (or wetsuit top) that will give you some support and keep the sun off you as well.Fit is more important than price really, try a few on to see what works best for you. Roxy has woman specific stuff. I wear mine year round just for the sun factor. Have fun, good luck.
Yeah, go with a bikini but wear a rash guard over your top half. It not only helps keep embarrassing accidents from occurring (seen it more than once) it also helps protect you from the sun. About overheating, unless the water is above 77 degrees F, don't worry about it.

P.S.: This look also makes you look a bit more classy. Guys don't want a girl who has shown everything off to every other guy.
