I 've tried surfing and was able to stand, now i'm looking to buy a board and I am currently looking at a 7' 3" board. But, I don't want to buy the boardd and not be able to ride it.
A 7' foot board is a pretty good sturdy all-around board. If you already have the balance to stand, you should be alright, it might take a couple of waves to get use to, but 7 foot is a really versitile size.
If anything, ask if you can sample the board, or try and find someone who will let you borrow a similar size and model. good luck.
if it has a thick wide tail and nose, it will be easier and more stable, but if it is very narrow at the tail and nose, it will be less stable and more difficult to learn on.
