Is it okay to put surf brand stickers on my surfboard even though I'm not sponsored by anyone? |
I read a qoute in a magazine that said, "No Sponsor, No Sticker." Does that mean that you can't put their stickers on your board? But then why do they sell them in local shops to put on your board? Please Help! There is no rule that say you can't. If you do just be conscious of where you put them and how big they are. No sense looking like you're trying to pass yourself off as being sponsored. Example: A friend of mine owns a surf shop. I have his shop logo on all my boards and my car. I don't want to try to pass myself off as being a team rider so I don't put them on the nose or the rail. dont worry of course you can put them on your board Yes, it's okay. I'm not sure what you read or where you read it but you probably took it out of context. Stickers and wax combs are sold along with board shorts so that you'll use them on your board. Even if you aren't being sponsored, it's exposure for the company. Like when you buy a t-shirt with a brand logo on it. totally, magazines lie ya know yea u can y not? Ohhh yeah its alright!! Just try not to put them on the bottom of the board. if you get too many of them on the bottom of the board it will affect the way your board glides through the water. i did it myself! |
