Green stuff in pool !!!?
We had a perfectly fine pool almost all summer. We kept the chlorine levels right where it should have been. Out of no where this green stuff starts to form in our pool. We tried vacuuming it, adding more chlorine, shocking it, scrubbing it, and leaving the filter running 24/7 to filter it out, but nothing seems to work. It just keeps coming back thicker than before. Please help me !!!!!!!
The PH is low, could this affect the stuff in our pool.
It's algae and this is the time of year to see it. Your Ph being a little low, will actually help you get rid of it.
Vac up what algae you see, brush what's left , if you have a sand filter, backwash, if a cartridge filter, clean it. Check your water chemistry, especially your total alkalinity. If you don't know what TA is, take a sample of your water into a pool store, you'll likely need it adjusted. It's pretty important. Fill up your chlorine dispenser and crank it up. Double your normal weekly dose of shock into the pool at dusk. Doing it near evening lets the chlorine work longer and harder as the UV rays aren't knocking it out. Next day, repeat. If the Chlorine level is down again, less than 1.5, give it another shock. You need to keep it above 1.5, preferably above 3.0 to kill that algae. The addition of an algacide will help, but don't waste any money on cheap stuff. If you aren't paying 25 dollars for a 1 litre container, it's not good algaecide. The contents should be what's called a polyquat. Nothing else really works.

Ew...Sounds like algae or something I honestly don't know! I haven't had a pool to take care of since my family moved...It can't be that bad though...Might wanna ask someone at a pool supply store...?
have you tried algicide? and yeah, if your any of your levels are off it would affect the quality of your pool water.
Ok who's been peeing in the pool?
omgosh you're so lucky to own a pool! but haha you have responblilities too haha ... maybe you should check the filters, there might b something rong with it so it's not working properly
