How do u overcome a fear of deep end in a swimming pool?
i know how to swim, i swim with my head under the water, i can swim from shallow to deep end, but i cant stay afloat at deep end, have to hold onto the wall at deep end, how do i overcome this fear please? thanks!
That's a strange fear since you can swim. Maybe you have watched too many scary movies. Since I am not expert with fear I will refrain with giving you a joke answer. Has this started recently? Do you know what caused it? Try to give us some more details so we know how to tackle it.hi i would gradually go down slowly and have a float with u and start taking it away each time u r in the deep end and use ur legs more
Keep going to the bottom of the pool and coming back up at deeper intervals.
Learn how to tread water.
It's really OK, that your not treading water well just yet. It actually takes alot of work to keep afloat treading. If you tread water that is just barely over your height, soon enough you will get the hang of it!
Learn to tread water and gradually get comfortable with floating at deeper and deeper parts of the pool.
my suggestion would be to go with a more advanced swimmer (an adult) and just keep going a little bit deeper everyday until you can you do it.
try to float without touching the ground in the shalow end and then get deeper and depper untill you get to the deep end
