Is 74 degrees ok for a bbq or going swimming?

im having a bbq and i dont know if i should have it

If the air temperature is 74 then I'd say that's nothing to worry about. I'd say getting around 65 would be pushing it.

For water temperature that's pretty cold, some people not used to swimming in water like that would be pretty cold but I'd do fine in that, the pool at our school is around 72, I think the heater's broken.
It is great for a BBQ. It was 74 the other day when I went out shopping and I thought it would be great if it could be no hotter than 74 and stay 74 degrees Fahrenheit everyday. It is hot enough for swimming, but it will depend if the pool is warm enough. When the outdoor temps hit 80 you start to feel real hot, 74 is nice for lounging and BBQ.

I believe they heat indoor pools to 80 degrees.

General info on pool temps:

Most people are comfortable in pool water at about 80F on the low end. Almost everyone is comfortable at 85F. Some people will find a 90F pool starting to be too warm. If you need to you can purchase an instant read thermometer cheaply for checking pool temps.
