For all you swimmers out there...what does this mean...? |
What does this mean... 1x200 k / str (kick / stroke)? Swim one 200 yards (in a 25 yard pool, 8 lengths) kick down, stroke back. Swim a 50 (down and back) five times drill down, swim back. So every time you go one direction you swim drill. Every time you go in the other direction, stroke. Source(s): 12 years of swimming 200 kicks per stoke I do this all the time. it's a 200 kick down, stroke back. It means one 200 yard swim (or meters if you're in meters). Kick/Stroke means divide the 200 into half kick, half stroke. Usually they'll tell you if they want it divided by length, by 50, or by 100 but not in this case. Stroke means any stroke besides freestyle if you didn't know already. 5 x 50's drill/swim is the same thing. You're doing a 50 yard (or meter) swim 5 times. Each time you'll perform a drill on the first length and then swim that corresponding stroke on the way back. USA Swimming Club Coach that means you do 200 yards (8 laps in a 25 yard pool) one time kicking (kicking with a kickbored) and you do it stroke (which is your best stroke) Butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, or freestyle hope this helped |
