yes! I use a tampon. It's not worth it to miss it when it's hot/swim team events occur. I love to swim and I swim every chance I get, even though I hate tampons. It's not like my male coach can understand...lol. Exercising is good for the body as well as the mind. Source(s): competitive swimmer
