OMG!!!! What should i do....? |
about..... okay we have a swim meet tomorrow and i was put in the c relay (slowest) wich is ok cause at least i made it in to a relay but the other 3 swimmers in my relay STINK!!!! Not being rude but the girls i am normally in the relay with are alternates..... they are like WAY bttr!!! I dont understand!!!!! What should i do???? Seriously we are gonna come in LAST.... my times for the strokes they are swimming are like 20 seconds faster.... HELP!!!! There is NO I in team! work harder and get on the B or A team, otherwise pump up your team-mates and do your best. Source(s): 34 years of competitive swimming, and yes sometimes i'm the best swimmer on my relay... First off I would be more positive. Going into it thinking youre going to do bad probably means youre going to be bad. Have a good attitude about it. Do the best you can and support your teammates the best you can. Good luck! You should try to be the very best team member that you can be. Swim your best, have confidence in your team members and offer them encouragement. Putting them down does not make you any better. Winning isn't everything - it's how you play the game. in my HS swim meet i had the same problem...it was a mixed 200 breaststroke relay...and the 3 girls i was w/ swam like 15 seocnds slowere than me in a 50...there werer alrdy 2 boys faster than me in the first relay, so basiucally wat i did was let them go ifrst and then i jus swam slow on purpose...or try and and go first in ur relay so it doesnt look like u suck... its just one relay dont sweat it and if you are really bugging just talk to your coach about it I know it is getting close to state but relays dont count anyways and unless this is a high point meet it doesnt really matter it's not that bad. seriously. just swim for you, if you are going first your time will be your actual race. just be positive and do your best. winnig is not everything! |
