We have an intex pool, will shock cause the pool to turn blue/green? |
we had a slight algae problem. i treated it with the correct amt of algaeside and then shocked it, im getting no algae in the filter now but the pool water is green..there is no algae on the bottom either..has the shock settled on the bottom and caused the print pattern of the pool to fade into the water and discolor it.. What was the chemicals of the algaecide you used? Is the water cloudy green or clear green? Do you have a water test for the chemistry? If so please post it here or email it to me at robandliz1992@yahoo.com If you don't then please take a sample of water to the pool store and have them test for the following: Total chlorine Free chlorine Combined chlorine pH Alkalinity Hardness Cyanuric acid Total dissolved solids Metals Phosphates Bring the results back and include the gallon size of the pool, filtration system, chlorination system, and chemicals you've used over the last two weeks. With this and the test results I can help pinpoint the exact problem and guide your pool back to a pristine condition.
