Vinyl Swimming Pool?

Can I put an above ground swimming pool on playground bark. It is the kind you find at Walmart made of vinyl. It does have a tarp to place under the pool but, my wife has been told that the pool will get a hole in it.

Any suggestions about what to put undrneath it?

No, please don't. Likely you will have no problem the first year but the pressure from the water will wear through the tarp and the bottom of the pool. It's best to use play sand to cushion and level the bottom of the pool. You can get this cheaply at a hardware store or your local rockery if you need 5yards or more of it. I would put some kind of thick plastic, "blue tarp" before you lay the pool down or it will rip.
