How long should I wait to swim in a pool that has been treated with acid? |
How long should I wait to swim in a pool that has been treated with acid? Lots of comedians here today it seems. You want to let the water fully circulate, this means between 1 hour to 6 hours depending on the rate of flow in your pool. Acid concentrations dilute quickly in a pool with proper flow, but in a poor flow pool you can have pockets of chemical concentrations. It's rare but it happens and you certainly don't want to encounter one. Source(s): Registered CPO (Certified Pool Operator) with the National Swimming Pool Federation http://www.nspf.com/ and maintaining public access swimming pools for many years now. usually it is one week. my family is having a pool done and that is what the pool man told us. 30 min depending on how much Don't wait! The most fun part is seeing your flesh melt away! Hi, 60 Minutes. As long as your pump has been circulating the water continually you will have no problems. I hope this helps, Michael Silvester http://www.greenpooltips.com |
