Ears hurting underwater?

When I go under water like 7 feet or deeper my ears hurt. Too much pressure im guessing. I tried popping them. any suggestions or cures?

simmers ear
Start popping them regularly as soon as you descend rather than waiting until you are deep. This should work.
Yeah it's because of the pressure that deep. What I find helps is if you blow bubbles as you're going down. That's what i tell all my kids in my swimming course that I teach and they say that it works. It might not completely take away the pain but it'll still help. Hope it works ^^
Try holding your nose and blowing gently. This will equalize the pressure between the outside and the inside.
just do it more, you'll get used to it
ummm there is nothing you can do, I can't go past 13 feet without feeling that! If you have to go past 7 feet, then I would take ear drops or put those ear plugs in, or else there is nothing you can do! Good luck, and I hope I helped you!
As you get into deeper and deeper water the pressure increases gradually. Because of this, doesn't it make sense to plug your nose and then continuously breathe to equalize the pressure? Waiting until you get to the bottom will just make it harder on you to make the pressure equal between the water and your head.
