Is there anything I can take to prevent a chlorine rash beforehand?

I recently have been breaking out in what I believe is a chlorine rash everytime I go swimming. It is worse when I am swimming outside, but when I swim laps at the gym pool I seem to break out into a small rash. I want to know if there is anything out there that I can take before I go swimming to prevent this. My symptoms are: Redness everywhere on my body, hive like welts, ring around any bruises I may have, yet, the rash really doesn't hurt, it just itches a little bit.

It's probably an allergic reaction to the chlorine. Try swimming in pools which aren't heavily chlorinated and shower right after you get out of the pool so get it off of your skin.
right after you get out of the pool, take a shower to wash off all the chlorine. you might need soap, but make sure it's not too harsh for your skin. most all the cholrine will be off your skin.
