Life Guards $?

I have a big pool that goes very deep 14 feet deep. My kids love to swim in it but sometimes i am scared what if i don't pay ettention and something happens? So i need life guards. At least one or two. But the problem is I don't know how much to pay that. What's the paying rate in Nj for life guards?

Well I don't live in NJ but I am a lifeguard and I get paid $15 an hour. Before when I could only assist I was paid $10. I think it all depends on where you live because I have a friend in Nova Scotia who only gets paid $8 and another friend who lives up north and they pay more than $20 and hour!!! If it's just for your pool at home then I don't think you have to pay that much but at least over minimum wage. Technically lifeguards are getting paid to risk their own lives to save others so don't be too cheap. Good luck finding one!
contact your local pool - maybe just offer an hourly rate - say min wage a couple times a week - everyone can use the extra cash!!
umm I know in Illinois, that we just raised the prices for being a lifeguard, I am 15, and I get payed 7.25 an hour, it's not alot of money, but a good starting job!
8 dollars an hour.
