How do you keep green water out of pool?

How do you keep green water out of pool?

that would be algae. keep the pH of the water in the right range and you won't have a problem.
added the right chemicals for the size of your pool go to a pool store and tell them what size it is and what you need to check it and keep it clean they will give you a long list that you need
There are all kinds of chemical levels you need to keep track of to keep a pool in good shape. A pool supply can sell you a kit that contains the chemicals you need, along with testing equipment for testing the Ph levels. One of the chemicals used is chlorine (which is what helps get rid of the green), and, using this, you have to take care to continue the upkeep of the pool. It takes some work but, once you get into the routine, it saves work in the long run.
You don't need all the expensive pool store chemicals. There are grocery store products and products you can purchase at WalMart/Costco/Sam's Club/local hardware store/local grocery store that are the exact same things chemically only much cheaper and much purer.

The one thing you do need to do is to keep chlorine in the pool at levels of 3-5ppm at all times. This will help keep the algae from running away in your pool.

Take a sample of water (about a pint) down to your local pool store and ask them to test for the following:
Total chlorine
Free chlorine
Combined chlorine
pH
Alkalinity
Hardness
Cyanuric acid
Total dissolved solids
Metals
Phosphates

Bring the results back and post them here or feel free to email them to me at robandliz1992@yahoo.com and I'll be more than happy to help you solve the green problem and get you on a tailored schedule for maintaining your pool in pristine condition.

Please include the above results, the gallon size of the pool, material it's made of (vinyl, concrete, plaster, fiberglass, etc), filtration system type (cartridge, sand, DE, etc), any chemicals you have on hand (ingredients list is best but name brands work too).
