How long should one wait to go swimming after you get a tattoo?

It is best to wait until it heals. You have thousands of puncture wounds in your skin that are going to let water past your first line of defense. Properly maintained the pool shouldn't harm your tattoo in any way, but be safe with your new ink and let it heal. Hmmmm well ive never been asked this, but i'd say play it safe and wait till the skin fully heels, since the skin is pretty much vulnerable to infection, u wouldnt want to expose it to pool chemicals like chlorine and acids..
