I recently bought a intex pool and..? |
it came with a water ppump that is not working any suggestions on what to do? Hi Liz, You need to fill the pump chamber with water before plugging it in. Failing to do this will just turn the impeller without drawing water. You can take the top off the pump/filter canister when the pool is full of water or you can open the bleeder valve on top (while the pump is off). Once water starts pouring out go ahead and close it down and plug it in and it should work fine. If this doesn't work you may have something in the impeller. Lift the pump/filter canister above the water line and remove the top and filter. Look inside for any obstructions that may be blocking it. There might be something in the inlet line that only happens when the impeller sucks it up so check there too. If none of these are working, check to see that you have power. You may have thrown a breaker or blown a fuse if your house still runs these. Feel free to drop me a line at robandliz1992@yahoo.com if none of these help and include a picture of the filter/pump with the top off looking down inside if possible so I can help further. Depending upon how long it's been since you bought it, either bring it back, send it back to Intex, or buy a new pump. Here's a link to Intex: http://www.intexstore.com/default.aspx... |
