How do you flip in the water without getting water in your nose & ears?

Hello, im trying to learn how to flip turn and im having trouble with the flipping part! when i try to flip, water seems to get in my nose and ears... other than the idea of holding your nose with your hands, is there any good method to make a nice flip without the water getting in your nose and ears?? thanks!

Blow out of your nose when you flip, or better yet buy nose plugs like they have on synchronised swimming during the olympics. they look funny but they work!
Nose plugs, if you can't do it, you probably won't be able to learn (I swim like a fish for 35 years but still can't go under without plugging my nose!!)
Ears, no. Nose, scrunch your upper lip and nose together as if something stinks, and blow a small stream of air bubbles through your nose.
wear ear plugs and blow through your nose. :D
Basically, the above answers are ok. I've never had much trouble with water in my ears and nose. The ears I'm not sure about but, any time I turn to a position where my nose is facing upwards I will, simply, exhale through my nose which will keep water out of it.
the nose part is easy...just hum
i don't know how to help with the ears...maybe try earplugs and a swim cap
i'm a swimmer
