What should wear anything underneath semi-dry suit? Similar to wetsuit? |
I heard we wear swimsuit underneath wetsuit. Even we can wear just wetsuit, underneath nothing. By the way, what we should wear underneath semi-dry suit? Swimsuit? Similar to wetsuit? And can I wear just semi-dry suit, not wear something underneath semi-dry suit? A semi dry suit is a wet suit that will have some water leaking in. So I would recommend that you either wear a swim suit, a skin suit (like Lycra or polypropylene) under it , or do like surfers and not wear anything under it. Not wearing anything just makes changing after your swim a little more difficult, but there is less wet clothing to carry home. I own both a semi dry and a proper wetsuit. You can wear whatever the heck you want under it including nothing at all. I wouldn't wear a snowmobile suit though. Just a tad excessive. I dive cold for the most part, the Great Lakes. On hot days I've just worn the suit, nothing else. On cooler days I've worn a bathing suit and T shirt. That's just to keep me comfortable until I suit up. It's entirely up to you what you wear. No one on the dive boat will question it unless you're diving cold and trying to do it with a 5mm semi. That's funny but nowhere as hilarious as a warm water diver using a 3mm or even putting on a skin suit under a 5mm and thinking that's ok. It's not in under 60 F water if you're the person wearing it. commercial diver, IANTD techie, chamber op, gas blender |
