Can you swim in the pool with the pump on?

I have heard if you have the pump plugged in on your above ground pool that you will get shocked and you must unplug it first, is that true??

No Way!

The wet end of the pump does
no even touch electrical parts
or wires.

They are completely separated.

You are completely safe and have
nothing to worry about. I actually
recommend the pump running when
you are swimming.

Take Care,

If you are getting electrical shock, then there is something dramatically wrong with your pool's electrical system. But, if there is no shock (and there should not be) it is perfectly safe to swim with the pump on.

All public pools MUST have the pump on to circulate the water while the pool is in use. If the pump stops, the pool is usually closed until repaired.
