How can i survive my swimming lessons ? !!!!HELP IM SCARED !!!!!!!?

im using my COUSINS EMAIL ............

MY problem is that i dont no how to swim . i cant float .

any tips of surviving my nightmare ? please help .....

Just relax and try to learn to float first, in order to float you have to lay on your front or back streight which ever you prefer, try to learn the basics like how to breath underwater, in order to breath underwater go to the shallow end of the pool first then grab a hold to the side of the pool and take a deep breath of air then push yourself downward and then slowly breath out through both your nose and mouth three times and remeber to time yourself as you will have to come up for a breath of air then repeat this over and over agian until you gat the hang of it, the whole point of this is to train yourself how to breath out through both your nose and mouth so that water cannot get into your nose or mouth, another trick is to bounce up and down using the bottom of the pool to push off from which can also be used as a survival technique in order to get a breath of air in case you are drowning remember to practice this in the shallow end, simple things like that can save your life, but they should teach you these things when you go to take swimming lessons, just listen to your swimming teacher, if your are in a recreational swimming pool area or go to your local pool park they are licensed to be lifegards and they are pros at teaching and remeber this saying cause its what got me through when I was swimming compitition style, practice makes perfect, no matter weather you are a rpofessional or just starting just keep practicing your swimming techniques and before you know it you will be swimming like a fish ( LOL my parents say that I swim that way all the time) just kidding but seriusly just be careful and keep practicing what your teacher teaches you, have fun and good luck, you'll get it soon just relax and remeber those simple tricks because they can save your life listen to your teacher when he or she teaches you all of these types of surviving techniques because they can also save your life as well. Source(s): I learned those simple tricks above that could save my life if I needed it at one point or the other, years ago and still remember to use them to this day.
Swimming lessons? don't you go there to learn how to swim? Don't worry about it, it's their job to teach you. You aren't paying them to just stand there...
I didn't learn to swim until I was 20. We started out slow in a shallow 4-5 foot pool and I got to where I could travel a lot. I was best on my back, I had to stop freaking about the water gurgling in my ears when I was on my back. I never did get the forward crawl to where I didn't swallow a lot of water and I didn't like opening my eyes under water, I never used goggles. The initial cold gets some getting used to, but after a while you feel warm and then you really feel the cold when you try to get out. You can learn...don't worry about competing with someone else...just make yourself better than what you are..And...If you realize the water isn't for you, there is always something out there that you are best at..
Well i do swimming lessons and just to tell you it is really not that bad because once you get in the pool you do not want to get out. Some tips are you could try slowly getting into to the water at a time and once you know it you are in the water and have concured a small part of your nighmare. Once you get swimming you will love it and you would of concured your nightmare of swimming lessons.
Well my source list is from me.
Strap a dolphin on yer azz if you're that scared, but I thought a girl who had a rich daddy and scuba dived could afford decent swimming lessons. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...
