HOW CAN I PLAY TENNIS WITH MY LEFT HAND? i perminently injured my right. heartbroken? |
i am 15 and played tennis for teh last 4 years of my life i really enjoy it and even more i am real good at it. i have won under 18 tourniments and people at school coaches club managers kept telling me to go pro. well last 5 months my right elbow really hurt alot and i tried to ignore it an first and it got worst because i am a heavy hitter. i went to the doctor got some x-rays say a bone physican and tehy all said i am done from playing tennis for ever i perminently damaged my right hand if i continue to play i will damage it to the point where everday life with my right hnd will be a chore and hassle. heartybroken i went told my coach the club manager where i play and every1 who was rootign for me to play next months provincial tourniment that i was done for at the age of 15. i wasup for scholarship to go and play at the states but how can i? my club manager being so devestated didnt show up for work for the next 2 days. when he did he was very upset and pretty soon every knew it. I dont know if you have the money or not cause I sure dont but If you do you can get a very good teacher to help you use your left hand quickly. It is possible and you can practice by yourself but it would take more time but If you still want to go pro just get the instructur at a Tennis/Golf Club to help. Also they sell these machines to help make your grip better its like $20 and it helps alot cause it makes the grip stronger. Good Luck and I hope you get better. I sprained my wrist a month ago. And while it was sprained i had to sue my left hand and only my left hand. Im a lot worse with it. But you just use one hand on the racket. nothing much to explain. Except now your the opposite way on the court. with left have your right shoulder face the net. and then your gonna have to practice a lot and then you'll get better. Well, Nadal switched because he hit a better topspin ball with his left arm....But he made the switch at like 5-10 years old idk. try do hit the ball w/ the raquet being in your left hand. keep practicing with the left hand it will help What you can do is go to a place with a high wall or even a racquetball court. Just use your left hand and keep on hitting to improve your shots. Also you could find a left-handed player and see how they hit and how they perform different types of shots. |
