How can I make Volley Ball? |
What do they look for? What are things I should know before I try out? it depends on da coach. they usually look 4 a good athlete. make sure when u pass u dont swing or jurk ur arms up & ALWAYS stay low. if ur not a setter dont worry about it 2 much(u should b able 2 set a little) cause if ur not the setter it doesnt matter much. use control before strength when spiking or hitting. u should ALWAYS keep a positve attidude, b a good sport, & have a smilely, bubbley personality AT ALL TIMES. Source(s): i play school & club volleyball they luk if ur consistant n if u can conroll your bumps sets and kills i made it on to my volley ball team they look for if you pass, set and hit!!!!(spike) I'm a coach and we don't have tryouts at the school I'm at but there are still aspects we want and expect out of our players. --Positive attitude...the more you get down on yourself after a mistake the more mistakes you will make. --Hustle...I love to see players running down a ball or getting on the floor (I'm a trained DS) --Listen to your coaches...when they are talking to you or a group give them your attention because they want to help you improve. If they are talking to you individually look them in the eye and give them your full attention --TRY HARD...some of the best teams that I've seen aren't very tall and don't have the best talent but they are successful because they give it everything they have and want to win --Look to improve...ask your coaches what you can do in the offseason to help you improve or even what skills they want you to focus on--playing club volleyball will help! GOOD LUCK!! it all depends on the coach. i would suggest a good positive can do attitude give it all u got never give up don't suck up but be cool with them be consistent in good passes, sets , and hits if you are a setter just relax and try to set the ball on the mark if a hitter get as high as you can up of the floor and try to aim at a certain spot and give it all you got if a defensive specialist then be consistent with your passes and pass good up in the air balls to the setter |
