. . . . volleyball drills you can do at home?
Yes... If you are a setter and want to work on your hands there are a few things you can do by yourself. Find a wall and stand about 1 foot away from it. Set the ball against the wall keeping your hands above your head about 100 times. You can increase the number every time you do this drill. Another setting drill is you can stand up and set the ball above your head and continue to set as you slowly lay down on the floor. Stand back up while continuing to set the ball. At first this is difficult but continue to work on it until it becomes easy. If you would like to work on your hitting skills than find a wall outside and spike the ball into the ground so that it bounces off the wall and back above your head. Hit the ball as many times as you can without stopping and keep control. Try to snap your wrist so that there is top spin on the ball and make sure to raise your non hitting hand as high as you can before you swing and pull down as you swing. Also do calf raises on any steps in your house. Good luck. Lay in bed with your feet up- with one hand behind your neck or head (I prefer my neck) and spike the ball with the other hand taking great aim at the center of the lower part of your feet if done right the ball will then roll back to you and you will be ready to aim again. try hitting it back and forth with someone !!!
