What are some acceptable ways to hold your hands while bumping a volleyball? Use whatever way you are comfortable with as long as you do not lock your fingers like you are praying. (As suggested by jaceman, although for another reason. I saw a player lock her fingers like that and she was tripped. She fell fingers first to the floor.) There are very good suggestions in earlier answers. Just make sure the heals of your hands and thumbs are together. That will make your platform flat and uniform. You shouldnt be holding anyone hands while playing volley ball you will probably need them both free. Hallelujah Holla Back fold ur hands & if ur right handed then lead w/ ur left but still use ur right for accuracy. exp. Put one hand out staight like you doing the macaraina, palm up, then put the other hand right on top palm up then fold your thumbs into your palms. elbows straight, bend your knees and absorb the ball.
