When playing volleyball outside on a grass court, do you prefer to wear shoes and socks or play barefoot? |
Assume it is warm out. I see a lot of people playing barefoot where I live. I am wondering if it is easier to move around in bare feet versus sneakers and socks. I prefer to be barefoot no matter what I am doing. Source(s): http://www.barefooters.org/ I should say barefoot but I'd rather sit on the sidelines and watch. I never wear shoes and my feet are tough from all that barefooting, but I remember lots of smashed fingers from volleyball in high school... Can I wear gloves? :-) I prefer barefoot it's easier to move around! volleyball team I used to play bare foot. But it killed my knees and my back - all of the jumping and moving. So I started wearing shoes. I find it is like playing indoors when you have shoes on. I bought some sprinter shoes - they have rubber knobby treads on the bottom for traction. They work wonderfully for traction, they are light, and they cushion my feet, knees and back great! I still do experience sore feet afterwards, but that is due to running shoes not being constructed for lateral movement to the level that is involved in volleyball. I think it is a personal preference, but where I play most of the people wear shoes and socks. Some do still play bare foot, but most find that shoes and socks allow for better performance. Good luck! i prefer barefoot |
