Why can't middle school have sports?

Any ideas?

Because the school districts already pay for a freshman team, sophmore team, and varsity team at the high school. And two junior high teams. For each and every sport. It would not be cost effective, plus it is hard enough to find coaches for the junior high levels, it would be extremely hard to find coaches for middle schools. Though, I believe it would benifit the upper level programs to have middle school athletics.

If you have a middle school that doesn't have sports then it's probably a private school. But then again even private schools have sports. I don't know then. It just depends what state you live in.
Depends some middle schools cant afford equitment,They cant find coaches, some parents cant afford 2 put there child in that certain sport, Lack of interest , or the school might think its dangerous to the students.Trust me my middle school had no sports teams it really stinks so much for keeping the kids fit and out of trouble, anywho lack of foundation, if u want to get a sports team going i suggest doing fund raisers Glad 2 help

the school in ohio do. down in south ohio around the dayton cincy area, my schools, we have sportes but the ony sport we play christian schools in is track and maybe cross country, but i play volleyball, basketball and run track for the school and im about to enter high school. your school may not have the funding or the state doent let yo have sports, i dont really know. most likely its the funding. they dont tell the kids much about the funding of the school. ( my mom teaches in my district and i know these things from her) as one of the teachers or the gym teacher.
all middle schools i know of do. however they do have rules on what grade levels and ages can play. like i know in most public schools, only 7th and 8th grades can try out for sports. but if you turn 15 before like june first, then you cant play. in a private school, i know in the one i was in, all grades can play, but the age thing is still a rule.
