Where is the 2008 USA Open Adult Volleyball Championships being held? |
Where is the 2008 USA Open Adult Volleyball Championships being held? Great question. As of right now, they have not decided. Usually, they announce it at the previous tournament. Not this year. They have had many rumors about the different sites, but they are still just rumors. Atlanta, Dallas, and Denver lead the rumors that I have heard. Although Dallas is a great site, I would bet against them because that would make it 2 years in a row in Texas. And that is the only reason. If you want to email me, I will let you know as soon as I hear. I get news emails from USAV and I am checking their site regularly. USA Volleyball just announced today that Atlanta will be the host for the Adult Open Championships from May 24 to May 31, 2008. Atlanta beat out Salt Lake City Austin, Texas I have also heard rumours of Atlanta and Salt Lake City. I was told that Atlanta was probably not going to happen sin ce it was just there a few years ago. Keep checking www.usavolleyball.org and as soon as there is a location I'm sure they will post it. I imagine that with the reorganization of the USAV board there is going to be some delay in the finalization of the location for next year. Discussion with organizers in Austin, TX. At Austin this year they indicated that next year's US Open will be in Atlanta. |
