Volleyball conditioning? |
What is a good circuit for a 12 year old girl to do over the summer to get in shape i am like 4' 10'' (ish) and weaigh about 115lbs. (ish) i would like to get in shape and need some tips! i did club and everyday after stetches they make us do 25 crunches and 5 push ups. i only had practice 2 days a week so i would do that! also, keep your stanama up. it helps. well our still young to do tons of workout but you can run everyday or everyother day, you know your body so if its too much stop or take it down a notch since your question says volleyball conditioning i ssume you want to get in shape for volleyball so jump roping helps with how high you jump. then you can do situps/crunches but like i said before make sure this isnt too much for you and if it is do this everyother day my volleyball coach run everyday and do drills like setting and bumping. try to play a lot of volleyball with friends too. That will keep you in shape with your hand-eye coordination. you're still a little young to do intense workouts but running is the best way to get in shape. if you live near a beach, running on the beach makes it more fun. make sure you eat healthy. If you don't eat healthy then working out is pointless. Add fruits and vegetables in your diet and try to cut down on eating "junk" food(chips, fried foods etc...) also don't eat too late into the night. You should give yourself about 3-4 hours of good digestion before you go to sleep. Enjoy! In volleyball u do a lot of jumping you need to strengthen your legs as much as possible. try running stairs, you can run, bunny hop or hop up the stairs on one foot (or do all). you can also try jumping over small hurdles and again do both feet, one foot, and too the side. Trust me it really helps we do this for my varsity volleyball conditioning. Good Luck! do some daily excersize start out small, then start doing big stuff try to get a gym membership at like, YMCA or somehting if u cant get that, do some jogging or something. walk ur dog do some push ups or streatches in between comercials when little stuff work in a mass, then it can have a huge effect [if u try] i would suggest go jogging at night time since it is getting hott but always obey the buddy system |
