Which sport should i pick for school. Vollyball or Track and Field?

last year we didnt have a boys volleyball which is why i joined track. i do hurdles and im a freshman varsity. next year they're having boys volleyball which is in the same season as track. Volleyball is my favorite sport and im really good at it and i know that i could help our school a lot since its our first time doing volleyball. But im also good in track and i know i could succeed. please dont be bias and pick your favorite sport. be reasonable to my situation and help me decide.

If you really like both equally, think about which one you might do better in. Volleyball is a team sport, are you ready to face the consquences of somebody else holding your fate? Which one would you miss the most if you didn't do? Walk around with the idea of doing one of them in your head, and see how you feel once you've walked in those shoes.

Also, try asking this in a more generic topic, so you don't get the volleyball bias, and you will have more answers to choose from. Source(s): ~Elle~
thats tough... make a list of the pros and cons of playing each sport. maybe that will help u decide. but i say do track if u think it'll help you out in the long run...
i run track and play volleyball, but im a girl so our season is in the fall so i can still run track. do what ever is your passion, and like the previous answer, make a list. it would help, but still do what you are better at and what is your passion. that is a tough desisicion. i really dont have any advice other than that. im sorry, and i feel for youwhen choosing between sports. ive done it in hte past and will have to do it again. i hope this helps, and good luck with your chioce. have fun in the spring.
expirence, play volleyball and run track,
thats a toughyy..follow your heart.
personally i love track but if you like volleyball better..you should most definately do it. dont just do something because you think you'll benefit the team, do it because you love it.
That IS tough but you really just have to go with instinct. If you truly love volleyball more, then do it. You can always run and get hurdles on your own if you enjoy track like that, volleyball is a little harder since it requires a team. If you're big on college and all that, since you're already into track and believe you can succeed in it, colleges would like if you stuck to one thing for a long time rather than a whole bunch of things for short times so pick one and stick with it. You still have time since you'll only be a sophomore I'm assuming. It can go either way. Search around your town for gyms, YMCA's, places like that that might have open volleyball for you to play. Yu might find you like doing one more as a hobby and like the competition for one of the sports better. It just comes down to what you enjoy the most. Don't think about anything else, just do what you feel you would have the best time at. Boys volleyball tends to be very competetive and if you aren't as tall as other boys or don't have the jump you're probably going to have a hard time getting a spot on the floor and things like that and since you have track experience under your belt, you might want to just stick with that unless you truly believe you'd be an asset to your team which I don't doubt at all so try finding somewhere to play volleyball and see how you feel about it and about yourself and playing and go from there.
