What is the player called who hit the ball first time in volleyball?

is'nt it server. well I know the answer but I can't spell the server. am I right abou tit?

You are correct. The player that puts the ball in play is the server. Then the ball goes to passer, and then (hopefully) the setter and then the hitter.
