Is kicking allowed in volleyball? |
I was playing volleyball with a couple of friends the other day when a teammate kicks the ball. I thought that wasn't allowed, but he says that it is. I've read the official rules but it's not very specific. The girls junior high and high school (NFSHSA) rules do not allow any contact below the waist. USAV and the FIVB (the international rules) and women's college all allow the contact with any part of the body including intentionally kicking the ball. i dont think its allowed its a hands hit ball not feet hit ball sport no dear, it's not allowed. not that i know of, hands only kicking is not allowed in volleyball no, you cannot kick! v-ball is a game you use w/ hands only! tell your friend to go play soccer! I think directly kicking the ball when you have the opportunity to use your arms is against the rule. Some exceptions will be made if the ball bounces and your leg swings or something. I may not be a Referee but somehow I don't think you're allowed to just go out and kick the ball in volleyball, a sport where strong arms are needed... |
