Why cant you wear earrings in volleyball?

I think maybe because sharp jewelry might pop the ball.
like that with most school sports, if you fall down on the side of your head the earing could poke a little hole in the side of your head, and then the school could get sued for not having a rule for protecting the kids.
you shouldn't because someone can get their fingers caught in your earring and tear it right out of your ear and cause your ear to tear and bleed. it's like that in soccer, baseball, gymnastics, and other sports for YOUR own personal safety and all others involved.
