My volleyball shoe is giving me a blister...? |
it keeps opening and bleeding i dont know how i can protect it though because its on my heel so a band aid wont stay. also, im afraid that once and if it heals its just going to keep coming back so should i just tough it out and let it callous? Try putting a band-aid on and then wrapping a piece or two of athletic tape (you can find it at drugstores, walmart, etc) so the tape will hold the band aid on. Your shoes might be too tight and that's why it's doing this or you need to break them in. The band aid might still come up but the tape will at least hold it better than nothing. If you don't want band-aids at all, get a piece of gauze for extra cushion on your blister and then wrap atheltic stape over that and your foot and that should feel better. You could try thicker socks too. Your shoes will probably irritate it for a while so you might have to just tough it out and let it callous or try some other shoes for a while, let it heal up and then try your shoes again 'cause they'll be more broken in and your sore will be healed. hey, that did happen to me but that means ur foot is sweatying whiel you play or its tight. im pritty sher it cause the sweat. get better socks and it if continues try changing the shoes hope i helpedXO i play vollyball and that same exact story happend to me put a band aid on it's ok if it dosn't stay but it has to stick thill you put on your socks . then put on short socks then your knee high ones where 2 pairs of socks every time you play!! i get blisters all the time put moleskin on your feet . that's what i do. you can find it at a drugstore. its like felt that's sticky on one side it all ways works for me. once i rubbed off all the skin on the back of my feet and was going to quit camp. used moleskin and was able to finish camp okay so get a bandaid on it, wrap it with prewrap put a piece of tape around it, then wear thicker socks, best of luck I have heard that pitchers use a product called New Skin. They are not allowed to have band aids on their pitching hand. It is applied instead of the band aid. I would also recommend good quality white socks and 2 pairs at a time. |
