I'm into freestyle standups and need to find a place in the bay area or particularly a beach close to or near San Francisco or Sacramento, which is where I'm in between. What are the laws on personal watercraft (PWC's) riding on the beach in NorCal? Where can I ride?

State law requires a pwc to go no faster than 5 mph within 200 feet of a beach that as a designated swimming area, however, local law can supersede state law. Some places has the limit at 1000' from a beach, a call to the city lifeguard department will give you the local laws that pertain to operating a pwc along beaches. |
