Windsurfing? |
I am doing a windsurfing camp in a couple of weeks. I already know how to sail but I don't know how to windsurf. I have heard that it is hard, I have heard that it is easy. I don't know if it will be hard or easy!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! when there's a lot of wind it's very, very hard, surely when you're a beginner...I do it already 4 years and it's not yet easy to me!there's always something to try...and it has nothing to see with sailing in fact...only the wind...and a few terms that's all,HAVE FUN,it's very cool to be a surfbabe ;)surely when there are a lot of beautiful boys watching you :) It depends on the person and how they learn. Some may do good on their first time, others might not. Hopefully you'll do good, just be confident, and keep your chin up if it gets hard. If you know how to sail you have a good start. Do you ski? water or downhill or cross country? The knee and ankle action on the windsurfer is similar to skiing. Keep at it, they say it takes 50 ups and downs to conquer it. HAHA im going to a windsurfing camp too!!! But i have no clue how to sail...so i'll bet you'll be better than me. I do know how to ski though...so thats a plus. I heard it was hard...but were up for the challenge right?? YEEEEAH!!! (belly slam LOL) Good luck and have fun!! The new equiptment, ie wide beginner boards have made windsurfing much easier to learn. The ideal wind conditions are an onshore breeze of about 10 to 15 mph. Higher winds will make it correspondingly harder. Remember there are plenty of women and even children of six or seven doing it, so you can too. Just keep trying and things that seemed almost impossible will all of a sudden become quite easy. |
