Hamm suffered from a hurt ankle through out the 1996 Olympic games. MacMillan scored the first goal from a deflection that Hamm shot. The second winning goal was scored by Milbret which put the US team to 2-1 beating China. The 1996 Olympics was also the introduction of Women's Football (soccer).
