I guess it's because Women鈥檚 soccer in the US is more developed (like in the nordic markets in EU) compared to the half hearted attempt at getting the US mens game up to the same level

Fact, the US Women鈥檚 team have won their version of the world cup and the man's equiv have won diddly squat

Never because it is a women sport and in the US when it come to women in sports many people just dont care.
i dunno.
but the USA could care less about soccer.
