I dont know any soccer lingo?

i know most of them

cushion-when trapping the ball, the player gives in the direction of the path of the ball in an effort to soften the impact and maintain control of the ball.

Halfback (midfielder)-player or group of players who have primary offensive and defensive responsibilities. They control the center of the field and usually the flow of the game. They are your horses, players who can run all day.

Marking-when a player is assigned to guard an opposing player either one on one or in a zone.

Red Card-ejection of a player, coach or parent from the field of play for gross misconduct. The guilty party must leave not only the field but also the complex.

Yellow Card-warning by the referee to a player, coach or parent for misconduct.

Volley-striking the ball out of the air before it strikes the ground.

Dribble-a succession of small taps with either foot while maintaining control of the ball.

Bootball-a term parents and coaches use for kicking the ball hard in any direction, not really a part of soccer. We pass, shoot and tackle the ball with a purpose. We don't kick the ball hard for no reason.

Back-a command given to a teammate when you want him/her to play the ball back towards his own goal and not towards the opposing goal. This is done either because the teammate is being covered closely by an opposing player, or to create additional space for his/her team.

Charging-a legal charge is when one player pushes the player with the ball off of the ball, legally, with shoulder to shoulder contact. Elbows must stay close to the body during the contact.

Corner Kick-when the ball is played out of the defensive goal line. The offense will put the ball back in play by taking a free kick from the corner spot.

Field Player-any player on the field except for the goalkeeper.
neither do i !
just say "bend it like beckham" and you're in
cross over, bicle kick, bend it, rollercoster move.
Good luck
header.....any ball hit with the head, goal any time a goal is scored, bicycle kick when you do a half flip and while in the air kick the ball over your head toward the goal, more as i think of them
GGGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOA...
A nutmeg=Thats when you fool your marker, when in possesion of the ball you slip the ball right through their legs so it's recieved by a team-mate.

Shimmy/Dummy=That's when you fool your marker again, but this time you pretend to kick the ball as your marker goes to tackle you you sway the other way. This tactic is very synomynous with players like Ronaldinho,C Ronaldo and Joe Cole.

Showboating=This can be very annoying for supporters,Managers and players. This is when the Star player of your Team starts showing off their silky skills. This can be very entertaining to watch, but only if your Team is winning comfortabley.
