What are the best type of goalie gloves to buy? |
What are the best type of goalie gloves to buy? I especially like Reusch Duo Orthotecs. If you're going to be playing at highschool level or above, I would definitely recommend any kind with reinforced spines on the fingers. Don't buy anything that looks or feels cheap, because you get what you pay for and they won't protect your hands. The higher the level of play and commitment to soccer, the more I would spend. I would suggest paying at LEAST $30-$40, more if you wish. Make sure get the right size. If this is the first time you're buying gloves, try to find a soccer shop so you can try them on. The tips of the gloves can be up to one inch past the tips of your fingers (you might not want to get them THAT big). The space at the tips can help prevent jams. Like many of the other respondants to this question, definitely go to www.soccer.com, browse through and request a catalog. They have a catalog called Keepersport that only has 'keeper gear. I like the Diadora gloves I bought last year. They fit well and are nice and sticky. They appear to be wearing a little quickly, though. I love Sondico gloves. Go to www.soccer.com and order a Eurosport catalog. It is free and offers many different gloves and other soccer equipment. There is a six-star rating next to each pair of gloves also, one for durability and another for grip. The Adidas have worked pretty fine for me. 12 games and only 1 goal scored on me while I was wearing those gloves. I love 'em! Get some adidas TUNIT's they're really cool 'cause you can change pretty much everything about 'em. The link is for them on soccer.com. http://www.soccer.com/iwcatproductpage.p... BIG ONES |
