Mia Hamm was so good why did she retire?


I loved her she was sooooooooooo talented!

Because she wanted to go out at the top of her career and who wouldn't. I'd rather go out when people still knew who I am instead of people wondering who I was because I just wasn't up to par anymore.
She also wanted to be able to have a life besides professional soccer. At 34 I can understand this. Mia is thinking of her overall future - not just her future as a professional soccer player.
Because she's 34, and I guess wanted to spend more time watching her washed-up husband stink up ballparks from coast to coast.
Because she's 34
NOOOOOO! She didn't have the ability to carry on 4 more years. If she did she wouldn't have retired.
