Ive played soccer for most of my life how do i get seen so i can go somwhere with it? |
i hav 3 years of highschool left and i want to get somthing out of soccer ive been playing it for most of my life....anyone kno wut the best way to be "discovered" or anyone kno how to impress a scout? wut skills can i practise to add that final touch? If you want to get recruited for a good school, you won't by playing highschool. Its just not good enough. Unless your team was unbeleivable year after year. College coaches usually look at players from state teams, club teams and stuff like that. You also got to go to some big tournaments because many college coaches attend. Another thing is that many times, you need to contact the coach, THEN he comes to watch you. To impress a scout, don't be a ball hog. Many coaches rather take the person who sets up the play rather then who scores the goal. Finally, the best time to start contacting coaches is spring of juinor year. Good luck. Source(s): playing d.1 soccer. knew where i was going before i finished juinor year in highschool. in bigger cities and universities, they have walk-on practices, find out when those are and show up to try out, good luck if you play well in high school, college recruiters will notice and they might offer you a scholarship. During your college career, professional teams might recruit you when you graduate. well...if ur good u should get noticed... I have coached several highschool teams and played college and what not. If u live in or near mississippi I could give you some contacts. but anyway, I would focuse on every aspect of the game study the game. So many players in highschool want to force the ball and score....play smart, keep the ball away from pressure. It also depends on what position you are playing if u are a defender know the different types of defenses run....like the flat back four for example. if you are a midfielder distribute the ball dont lose pocession. if ur a striker work on finishing. stuff like that just cos u played all your life doesnt mean your good.. which prob means that someone has seen u before but thought u r just crap....lol soz just jokin. u try out for your local rep team... it depends where your from. i live in a small country town in australa and no scout would bother lookin in this hole.. which explains y the next ronaldino is still playin for the local club @ 16...lol good luck... im sorry if i offended u.
