why is sportmentship impotant when playng sports It is respectful. It goes to show that the match is just one match...They will come and go, but friends will last forever (maybe. In this world you never know). Because it teaches you to respect the other team and and respect their coaches. And usually when you have sportsmanship you play better because you feel that even if they win, you know you've played your all. to keep it girly It is important because if there was no such thing as sportsmanship no one would want to play sport because all it would be is a big fight. But, dont worry sometimes when im playing basketball I think sportsmanship is annoying too. Sportsmanship is, in a basic sense, conforming to the rules of sport. More grandly it may be considered the ethos of sport. It is interesting that the motivation for sport is often an elusive element. For example, beginners in sailing are often told that dinghy racing is a good means to sharpen the learner's sailing skills. However, it often emerges that skills are honed to increase racing performance and achievements in competition, rather than the converse. Sportsmanship expresses an aspiration or ethos that the activity will be enjoyed for its own sake, with proper consideration for fairness and ethics and respect and fellowship for one's competitors. Often the pressures of competition, individual achievement, or introduction of technology can seem to work against enjoyment by participants. The conflict between sportsmanship and paid sports is explored further in professional sports. Poor sportsmanship is the converse of good sportsmanship. Poor sportsmanship can either be the winners "rubbing salt in the wounds" of the losers, or the losers expressing their frustration at not winning, even to the point of holding a grudge. Another example of poor sportsmanship is booing national anthems, or failing to congratulate the winners First of all, you're playing a game, a game where the other people playing are just like you.... ok, well its impotant because you need to stay fare. if u play baseball or softball if u dont have sportmenship it messes up yer hole game. football it really messses it up to |
