Why are footballers paid so much money when there are billions of starving people in the world? |
Has our love for sport taken over our morals? Not everyone has the same morals, and so the gov has to be neutral in certain cases and do only what they need to do to keep the economy flowing and satisfied. If the people want entertainers, then money will have to go to the entertainers. Although I would LOVE to see more money going to famine relief and what not, I am only one person against millions, and so I don't have much of a say. The sport hasn't taken over everyone's morals. If an entertainer gets paid and decides to donate a share to a charity or something, then that is just great. Sports and entertainment are just more in demand from the people. Like I said, not everyone has the same morals, so everyone is going to think and want different things. For as much as I would like for more money to go towards the poor and starving, it just can't happen because I guess just not enough people really care to give. Great question though, and you have a great point. People with wealth should give more and not keep so much for themselves. Because its not about football anymore! its about celeb status ! and themore you cost ! the more status you get ! RUBBISH in my terms ! because starving ppl are not entertaining and i dont mean that in a negative way just that we get bombarded with charities and football is entertainment No not at all . My Ex went to school with Rio Ferdinand and to be honest before I sat and talked with him i would have agreed with you . He cant really do anything with his life apart from eat and breath football all the time he is contracted to do so . His training regime is extradionary aswell as the fact they monitor his eating habits etc . Not only do you have to think about the fact that footballers have to live near their grounds . So you imagine having to buy a pad in Chelsea for example > phillip b has never seen glasgow rangers play I'll tell you why!. Because they are footballers and so many morons support them and they think their gods greatest gift they think we owe them it to pay outlandish pay!. Good enough. I think world class footballers should only be on 30% of what they earn. Imagine earning 拢100,000 a week. You could spend 拢100,000 on Friday and on Saturday the club gives you another 拢100,000 just incase your hard up not to mention goal scoring bonuses, win bonuses and signing on fees. It's just madness. |
