Arsenal was promoted to the English Old First Division by finishing in 5th place the 1914-1915 English Old Second Division & since then they have never been relegated from the top flight of English football. they have always been in the top division This is a question in the category of Women's Premier League. Arsenal Ladies were founding members of the Women's Premier League National Division in 1992. (the men's team were elected to what was the English League Division One in 1919 and have never been relegated since. They had finished the previous season in 6th place in Division Two, but they were elected even though the fourth and fifth place team were not - some say bribery was involved, although the official reason was that Arsenal were said to be able to attract larger away crowds, so league clubs voted for Arsenal to be elected anyway to the top division) |
