The default by Canadian Daniel Nestor in the doubles semi-final doesn't bode well for his participation in his home country event. That he didn't even try to get on the court to play is not a good sign.

The Andy Roddick - John Isner match was a shootout with experience ultimately prevailing. Isner was removed from the qualifying draw at the Rogers Cup; he was given that "special except" spot that was reserved in the draw.

Isner played great for 2 1/2 hours but he just couldn't break Roddick's serve. The older American is a solid 6-foot-2 - Isner makes him look like a wee guy. Too funny.
