I’ve had a recent obsession with board track motorcycles and the men that raced them. After searching the web for a few photos I stumbled upon this bit of video shot by Mr. Frantisek Marik chief importer of Indian Motorcycles to the Czech Republic. Shot during a visit to the United States in the early 1920’s the film is one of but a few that remains from this era. What really surprised me however was the speed at which these bikes travelled. 130mph on planks of wood. Absolutely mad.
