    If you are looking for a holiday spot to visit in your free time mark your destination as Mexico. With its beautiful beaches and bustling night life the country is perfect for a long holiday. Before visiting Mexico make sure that you have with you important information about the country.

    Here are few things that you should do to make your trip comfortable:

    Language Barrier

    Mexico’s main language is Spanish. Though many people are able to communicate in English but it is always better to get a hang of Spanish before you go to Mexico. In addition also keep an English/Spanish dictionary with you to understand the language better.

    Present Your ID proof wherever required

    Wherever you go carry an ID proof along with a photograph with you. Present your ID proof which can be passport driving license citizenship proof or tourist card when asked by authorities.

    Prepare the list for things you can carry

    Make note of the following things that can be carried by you during your tip to Mexico:

    * Gear for sporting activities

    * Reading material

    * Prescriptions

    * Clothes and shoes

    * Maximum 20 Cassettes and records

    * A small musical instrument

    * One portable TV with VCR and one typewriter

    * Skiing fishing equipment along with tennis rackets

    * Not more than three liters of alcohol beverages along with 50 cigars or 400 cigarettes for tourist of 18 years of age or above

    * One video camera

    Fill All Necessary Forms

    Before going to the country it is mandatory to fill two forms using a black ink pen. The first form is for a temporary visa and will be distributed at airline ticket counters or in the airplane. The second one is Hacienda meant for Customs and Taxation.

    Carry the Local Currency

    Although some businesses might accept American Dollars it is always advisable to carry some Mexican pesos with you as well. Your MasterCard Visa and AmEx logo credit cards and traveler’s checks are also accepted everywhere in Mexico.

    Take care of Hygiene

    Ensure that you are not drinking any tap water. Go for the bottled or boiled water instead. Before you eat any fruit and vegetable wash peal and then cook it.

    Photocopies

    Carry photocopies of tickets and a list of traveler’s check with you as well.

    Doing all these things will ensure that your trip to Mexico is hassle free and an enjoyable one.
